Welcome to the home of the Durham big Ride

The Durham Big Ride started in 2007 and the initial thoughts were to get 300 or so people on their bikes in the city of Durham. Just after one year, it is established in the minds of people, young and old as the "must do" event in the area.

People raised thousands of pounds for a host of charities while completing the 25 miles course. The 3 mile "Little Ride" was enjoyed by families and disabled riders and we are all looking forward to this year. The Durham Big Ride 2008 will be on September 21 starting and finishing at County Hall in Durham City.

To make the 2008 even better and to make sure everyone has the opportunity to join in this great event, we are planning a “Middle Ride” which will be a ten mile loop that starts with the “Big Ride”.
