LAST YEAR

A windy, if dry day, saw the first ever Durham Big Ride.

With over 600 people of all ages and abilities signed up we had another wave of last minute entries to bring the total over 700 bikes on the line at 9.30.

The Mayor of the City and the Chair of the County were on hand to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable ride. People from near and far came to the event and even a couple of people who were in the area from the USA managed to hire cycles and thought it was the best way to see the Durham area! The first back were greeted by the Mayor and as the waves of people came it was clear that the day had been a great success. The pictures show that a good time was had by everyone. All riders are looking forward to 2008.
